So needed to hear this! And need to think about my part in the self-centeredness and how to to become other-centered. Hard to look inward, but until we do we can’t truly change.

Bingo! Exactly right Keri – we must turn inward first and ask to learn who we are from the One Who knows. When we learn and accept the truth we naturally become other-centered and of service. It’s our nature. Thank you for your very honest and insightful comment. Love to you! xoxo

Marguerite, this quote speaks of a deep foundational Truth in my life nowadays. It seems that so much pain and suffering in the World comes from a selfish/self-centered outlook on life. In this paradigm the motivation is fear and preservation. There is never enough and we (individuals/groups/countries/etc) become pitted against one another. It leads to isolation, violence, and conflict.
On the other hand, life has the potential to be lived from an orientation of selflessness. From this perspective, life becomes an act of love and offering. It is infinitely abundant and sustainable. It leads to peace, harmony, inclusivity, and Love.

The big question is which one do we strive for……

Hi Sid! Your comments are always so interesting. What you’ve described is the choice we make each and every day – every second of the day – the ego (fear) or our higher self (love). Means we have to want harmony and peace and love and then become aware and stay vigilant to what we are choosing/thinking and how we are feeling as a result. I think we’re witnessing the collective ego and individually we have to choose love knowing those vibrations are helping the collective. Don’t want to feed the fear. Thanks for reading and for reaching out!
