I began meeting with Marguerite about once a week as things in my personal life spiraled out of control. Our focus became an undertaking to circumvent the blame of "he said, she said," and instead targeted what the underlying realities were in my life. In other words, she helped me to stop looking at things I couldn't really change about what was going on in my life, and more about what my response to what those things and people could be.

Sometimes we have to be shaken out of our comfort zones to create change. The irony is that sometimes our comfort zones are smack-dab in the middle of hurt and damage, and we prefer to stay there because we don't know another way. Marguerite worked tirelessly with me to find another way.
